The January 6 events (meaning specifically, the part on neglecting security, plus inviting protestors in, followed by escalation by way of shooting an unarmed woman who had been in the company of a BLM provocateur) had one very important result and, I think, purpose. They aborted the dangerous discussions that were ongoing at that very minute about irregularities in the election. An important procedure was stopped mid-course, only due (or thanks, depending on viewpoint) to the events in the Capitol. Wikipedia spins it as follows below*), but I was following that meeting (by stream), and my understanding is that the outcome could have been pro Republican had it not been stopped then and there. What do you all think? Anyone observed it that way, too?
